Chapter One
A country that gathers around fire
In Argentina, the parrilla is less a piece of equipment than a member of the family. Sundays begin slowly — a fire lit by early afternoon, chorizos first, then morcilla, then the big cuts: bife de chorizo, tira de asado, vacío. Nothing is hurried. The wine is poured, the salad is simple, and conversation is the true seasoning.
Between courses, a small mountain of empanadas — beef, chicken or humita — is picked at, torn, and passed around. By the time dessert arrives, the sun has moved across the patio and no one has looked at a phone.
In Buenos Aires, dinner starts when the rest of the world is going to bed. That is not a habit — it is a philosophy.

Chapter Two
Mate, medialunas, midnight
Mornings begin with medialunas and a small cortado. Afternoons run on mate — the shared gourd passed slowly around a table of friends. Nights end with pizza a la piedra or a scoop of dulce de leche gelato at one in the morning. The Argentina collection is made for that long, unhurried day.
